Alpine cattle drive
on the Hochegg – Schönberg – Lachtal on 28.09.2024
The cattle drive in Lachtal is one of the biggest fall events in Styria, especially in the Murau region.
During this long-standing tradition, which always takes place on the last Saturday in September, the animals are driven down from the lush alpine pastures into the valley to spend the winter there.
09.30 am: Arrival of the decorated alpine animals at Hochegg.
The alpine farmers and their animals are welcomed by the Schönberg/Lachtal Music Society.
from 11.30 a.m.: thanksgiving service, beer tapping, concert, dance music and much more!
