130 years of the Murtalbahn
On September 22, 2024, the Murtalbahn celebrates its 130th anniversary.
To celebrate this important milestone, there will be a spectacular anniversary program at Murau station.
54th Murau bock beer tapping
Be part of the 54th tapping of the Murauer Bockbier on Saturday, October 19, 2024!

The parish invites you to a FEST FOR ALL!
Starting at 10:15 am with the blessing of the harvest crown in the market, followed by a festival in the Stiftshof.
There are adventure stations for children, guided tours, a treasure hunt and regional delicacies.
Alpine cattle drive at Hochegg – Schönberg – Lachtal
The cattle drive in the Lachtal valley is one of the biggest fall events in Styria, especially in the Murau region.
During this long-standing tradition, the animals are driven from the lush alpine pastures down into the valley.
Swinging Lambertini Choir Festival
Swinging Lambertini once again ignites a firework display of various choral melodies.
From 1 p.m. until late in the evening, guests will be served food and drink in the inner courtyard and in the corridors of the monastery.
